My love for you is tubig. into the water: Aquatics

1st Blog

So today is friday; I’m so hyped to start this day. As I woke up I daydreamed of all activities that will happen this day, first in the list is the usual first Friday mass that is always being performed every week. After the mass, we will go to the main campus to have our immersion, and finally the most awaited event which had me filled with energy first thing in the morning, which is our activity in PE, Aquatics; yes you heard it right, everything that involves pool always had me thrilled because I love being in the pool. After the long daydreaming, I went on and took a bath, then proceeded to what I day dreamed about.

Fast forward; we’re already going home after our immersion, we were dismissed around 11:30ish, I hurriedly went home to get my things prepared for I am too excited and can’t seem to put myself at ease. Unfortunately, I had to wait patiently because our pool session is around 2:30 PM while I finished preparing around 12:30, so i killed time by playing at our personal computer and set an alarm at about 2 and snoozed off. As soon as I woke up to my alarm, I quickly prepared my things, and suddenly rain poured down, but my excitement was unfazed,
I was riding my motor and along the way; I stayed slow and was always on the side of the road to avoid disastrous incidents from happening.

After the long cold ride due to the rain, I’m finally at the place which our Activity will take place and its in Dela Mar spring pool. As I entered the venue, I saw a lot of people and I was shocked because they were familiar and suddenly I realized we’re all actually all the students in SMC, so the pool was actually reserved for us only and that made me even more excited because only a handful of people used the pool so that means it is clean, and I saw sir Fajardo which is our PE teacher from afar and too occupied with the other students, so I didn’t waste time and quickly dove unto the water.

At last, the pool and my body is finally intertwined after all the visualizations of this event that can’t seem to leave my mind, I took my time swimming and enjoyed it, after some time; I see sir fajardo approaching from afar, so I quickly leaved the pool and went ashore. Sir Fajardo told us to get ready for our activity and he divided us into three platoons which is the Alpha, Bravo and Charlie, Sir did this so that he can easily monitor us, he is also supported by some of the teachers which is Ma’am grace, our previous PE teacher back in 1st sem, Ma’am Bacarro who was our Bio teacher also in 1st sem and lastly; the beloved Sir Unde of the ABM strand.

First; we had our stretchings, and after stretching; we went on and headed to the station which we were assigned, our 1st station is assigned to Ma’am grace, in that 1st station, we did the elementary backstroke and dog paddle which are called non-competitive strokes, then we went on to our 2nd station which is jumping off of a high ramp and landing on the 16 feet deep pool, the jump wasn’t that scary for me because I’ve always loved jumping off from it because of the adrenaline I always feel when I jump and every jump I experienced was also fun and worth it, then we did survival trainings while sir Fajardo sprinkled water on us to simulate a storm and we did what he instructed us to do and we succeeded and unto the 3rd and last station of our aquatics, we performed a non-swimming rescue technique which is throwing rope unto our fellow classmates acting as the drowning person that needs help.

Danztrak pose after the activity.

After succeeding and completing all of the stations, we took a short break and gathered up so that sir Fajardo can check upon us and our attendance to see if we’re complete and fortunately we are complete, so that’s a wrap in our PE activity which is Aquatics, but after changing into dry clothes, we took pictures for safekeeping and memories, then this time for sure, its all a wrap, we changed into dry clothes and parted ways, twas all fun and the memories will surely dwell in my life for as long as I live, and also; this wraps my blog, I hope you had fun reading my seemingly endless chattering and too detailed explanation, that’s all thank you
